Privacy Policy

SUNTECH FL, CO is a Florida company. Under the name SUNTECH Appliance Repair we repair household appliances at our customers' homes in Southwest Florida, around Fort Myers and Bonita Springs.

We have two phone numbers, one for each area we serve: (239) 402-5412 for the Fort Myers area and (239) 224-3431 for the Bonita Springs and Naples area. Both take calls and text messages, and both are the way to reach us about this policy.

In this policy, we and us mean SUNTECH FL, CO. Personal information means information that identifies you or lets us contact you, such as your name, your phone number and the address where the appliance is.

The request form

The form asks for your name and phone number, which are required, and if you want to add them, your ZIP code or town, the appliance, its brand and a short description of the problem. It also asks whether you agree to receive text messages from us. Saying no, or not answering, does not stop the request.

With what you type, the request carries the address of the page you sent it from and, when that page belongs to one of our two areas, the name of that area, so we know which area the request is for.

Calls and text messages

When you call or text either number, our business phone service shows us your phone number and keeps a log of calls and the text of messages, as any business phone line does. To arrange a visit we note your name, the address of the appliance, the appointment time, the appliance and what it is doing.

Repair visits

At the visit the technician records the model and serial number of the appliance, what was found, what was repaired and the payment. If you pay by card, the card is handled by the card payment service we use.

Visiting the website

Like any website, this one receives some technical information with every page you open: your IP address, your browser and device type, and the address of the page. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Cookies are covered in their own section below.

This website runs on Cloudflare. When you send the form, Cloudflare passes your request to us as an email that arrives in our Gmail mailbox, which Google runs for us. The website itself does not keep a copy of your request.

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people apart from automated programs. While the page is open it looks at signals from your browser and device. It does not read what you type into the form. To stop floods of automated requests, the form also counts the requests sent from each IP address over a short period.

Cloudflare handles this information under its own privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how many people visit, which pages they open, how they found us (for example a Google search or our Google profile) and which buttons they use, such as a call button or the request form. For this Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address and details about your device and browser. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy.

When we advertise on Google, the same Tag Manager can tell Google Ads that a visit which started from one of our ads ended in a call or a request. We use these figures only to see which pages and ads bring requests.

The site works without these cookies. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that turns Google Analytics off: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We use your information:

• to call or text you back about your request;
• to arrange the visit and send the technician to the right address;
• to diagnose and repair the appliance and order the parts it needs;
• to honor our warranty and answer questions about past repairs;
• to send the text messages you agreed to;
• to see how the site is used and to keep the form free of spam;
• to keep the business and tax records the law requires.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.

If you choose Yes under Text messages in the request form, we may text you from (239) 402-5412 and (239) 224-3431: appointment confirmations, technician arrival notifications, service updates, customer care messages and marketing messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, and reply HELP for help.

Agreeing to text messages is not a condition of getting a repair.

We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The full terms are in our SMS Terms and Conditions.

We share personal information only with the companies that run parts of our business for us, and only what each of them needs:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website, delivers form requests and runs the spam check;
• Google, which provides Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and our email;
• our business phone service, which carries our calls and text messages;
• the card payment service, when you pay by card.

When someone else arranges or pays for your repair, such as a home warranty company, a landlord or a property manager, we share with them what they need about that repair.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example in answer to a court order, or when it is needed to protect the safety of our customers or technicians.

We do not sell personal information. Mobile phone numbers and text message opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent: this information is not shared with any third parties.

We keep requests, call and message history and repair records for as long as we need them to serve you, honor our warranty and keep the business and tax records the law requires. Google keeps analytics data under the settings of our Google Analytics account.

The website is served over an encrypted connection. Access to requests and customer records is limited to the people who run the business and the technicians who need the details for a job. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, but we take reasonable care with what you give us.

You can ask us at any time:

• what information we hold about you;
• to correct something that is wrong;
• to delete your information, except what the law requires us to keep;
• to stop text messages from us. Replying STOP to any message does the same.

Call or text (239) 402-5412 or (239) 224-3431, Monday to Saturday 8 AM to 6 PM, Sunday 9 AM to 5 PM. Before we change or delete anything, we may ask a question or two to make sure the information is yours.

This website and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, call or text either number and we will delete it.

When we change this policy, we post the new version on this page with a new effective date. The version on this page is the one that applies.
